Kapala just happened. Birthed with an idea, spontaneity, and a bit of work the rivers found the moon. Kapala’s debut cassette “Moon Rivers” is out now on tagobella and Holy Page. What seems like the darkest moon rises slowly and early in this one, as the churning tape static brings deep long notes forward and a thick resonance carries the album into constellations of noise. Slow build to crash, the water laps at the land and wildly climbs into the sky.
With numerical song titles “Moon Rivers” acts like a customizable listening experience. All the songs are interchangeable and go with the cycles of the moon, not only is this one thematic but it’s real drone. Real, deep, dark, pure drone, not to be passed up!
Go buy the limited cassette from the tagobella site linked above or grab it for free from Kapala’s bandcamp!
